This Reds Life

As I recover from my Lisbon and Glasgow exploits of the last seven days I'm skipping the This Reds Life recording until next week. To fill the gap this is an interview I did with Lorcan Fitzgerald about his time as interim manager. This was originally an exclusive for those that bought t-shirts in the first run of the Northside ones. It's been a few weeks now so here it is for everyone else.

Gaz O'Reilly joined Harper in the TRL studio this week to take a trip down his red memory lane. We discussed living behind enemy lines in Tallaght, tattoos, merchandise, past games and much much more. All this and 5 banging tunes, maybe the best selection yet? I'll let you decide...

This week Harper was joined by Adam Leonard, we discussed his Shels fandom history, podcasting, his life as a Shels commentator and much much more. As always there's some classic tunes in there too. Enjoy!

The podcast is back from it's holiday break and this week Harper was joined by John Mernock. We had a good chat about his life growing up in Portmarnock, how he became a Red, his fanzine involvement and a really interesting look back at the Save Tolka Park campaign that he was at the forefront of. There's also a little update about the t-shirts you ordered at the start.

This week Harper was joined on the line all the way from Lisbon, Shels and Benfica fan Miguel Carvalho, better know to most as Portugese Mick and by his professional artist name Ugly Ducky. We had a great chat about growing up in Lisbon, his life as a Benfica fan and how he ended up as a home and away Shels fan. All this and more with some diverse and cracking tunes throughout the episode.

Just a little Public Service Announcement re the t-shirt we spoke about on the last episode, all the info you need about where to see the design (Instagram Harper1888) colours, sizes, dates and all that jazz.

This week Harper was the guest on his own show with Brian Foran taking over hosting duties. The reason for this was to test new equipment and you'll hear there was an epic fail with this in the opening exchanges...however we hope you enjoy it nonetheless.
We also shared the news about an upcoming t-shirt release but there will be a slight delay of a couple of days while we finalise something with the printers. Keep an eye on the socials for updates on this (follow Harper1888 on Instagram)

This week I was delighted to be joined by Shels fan Niall Creevey who most will recognise from selling the fanzine outside Tolka Park. We chat about his life growing up in Dublin, his Shels memories, ground stories from Ireland and abroad and all to a banging soundtrack. Small disclaimer, my mic is about to bite the dust and there's a bit of distortion on my end but thankfully Niall does most of the talking.

After a few weeks break due to the World Cup, Harper got back in the saddle this week with Swedish Mick joining him for a chat. We covered Mick's early life in his Scandanavian homeland, the usual time traveling and his music choices that have a distinct Nordic flavour.

In episode 6 of This Reds Life Harper was joined by Matthew Slevin, co-host of the We're Not Barcelona podacst. We find out how a man in Pats country becomes a diehard Red, have a deep dive into his own podcast and also delve into how the general Irish football fan looks at the LOI. All this plus his time travel selections and 5 banging tunes.
